The broadcast agreements include France’s TOP 14 (2019/2020 - 2021/2022) and multi-year international deals with the Irish Rugby Union (2019-2022) and the Welsh Rugby Union (2019-2024).

Sky Director of Sport, Tex Teixeira says it was exciting to add these deals to what is a very comprehensive European rugby offering on Sky Sport, the home of rugby in New Zealand

“These multi-year international deals with the Irish Rugby Union and Welsh Rugby Union will allow Sky rugby fans to enjoy an additional 30 test matches over the next five years. The TOP 14 deal will also proudly sit alongside our other European rugby competitions in the Guinness Pro14, Gallagher Premiership and the Premiership Rugby Cup. It’s a great time to be a rugby fan.”

Irish Rugby Union (2019-2022)

This three-year deal includes 11 international test matches, a schedule of these test matches will be released by the Irish Rugby Union in due course.

Welsh Rugby Union (2019-2024)

This five-year deal includes broadcast rights to 19 international test matches, a schedule of these test matches will be released by the Welsh Rugby Union in due course.

TOP 14 (2019/2020 - 2021/2022)

This three-season deal kicked off in August – and we’re in week 11 right now. With plenty of familiar New Zealand faces running around, the TOP 14 will be no doubt be of particular interest to Kiwi rugby fans.

The new deal will also see broadcast coverage increase to four matches per round of the regular season with five final phase matches available to Sky Sport rugby fans. A weekly highlights programme for each regular season round will also screen each week.
